Old And New
What's good yall?
I've learned that the only constant in missionary life is change. Which is cool, I'm down for every six-week shake-up.
New transfer, old area
Our English class is in full swing, several members and a few friends have all committed to weekly lessons! It's a great way to connect with people.
New president, same missionaries
Went to zone conference and met President Eastland, which was cool. He's made a great start on learning Spanish and I'm excited to serve under him for the next two years!
New comp, same friends and members
Jenny is relatively new in Spain, and found us through our friend Adelina! She's very interested in hearing from us and is excited to meet the branch!
Our friend Jesús is from Cuba and loves baseball, but hasn't been able to play in years since he came to Spain. Elder Sharp got his hands on some gloves, so we were able to play catch with Jesús and a few of his friends. I can tell it meant a lot to Jesús, and it's very important that we approach him as his friends who happen to be missionaries.
Passed by lots of addresses with registered to members we had never met. No one answered but we ran into so many people along the way and opened up some very promising opportunities. When you do your best, God will make it enough and give you the opportunities you need!
This of course isn't everything, but it was a great week!
Spiritual thought
Talked with a few different people this week about repentance. We often flinch away from this word, but what it really means is moving on from our sins and trying to be better going forward. Because of our Savior's sacrifice for us, there is no screw-up or mistake that can ruin us forever. We can always try again and try to be better. This is the message of Jesus Christ - if we follow him and try to always improve, he can be forgiven of every misstep.
Hope you all are doing great!
