Oh Yeah- It's All Coming Together
It's hard to describe how much the Lord is blessing this area.
This branch is legendary. Multiple members are hosting families that are brand new to Spain and inviting us to teach them. Everyone we bring to a branch activity is welcomed with open arms. It's honestly unbelievable.
Specifics:
We started teaching Jenny and she came to church last week! We also visited her home and met her daughter, who is injured and has a hard time leaving the house. Both of them were receptive to the message we shared. Hard to believe we only found her because she called our number on one of Adelina's cards.
Thiago has been really busy for the last few weeks but suddenly opened up! We taught him and his uncle half of the Plan of Salvation (the uncle is a hardcore Spaniard and talks a lot), then saw him at Noche de Hogar on Friday, football on Saturday, and church on Sunday! He's also a barber and his tools just arrived so he's going to give us haircuts this week. The branch loves him and is excited he's here with us!
Jesús still comes to basically everything, plus we've started playing catch in the morning once a week. It's a really casual way to talk to him about the gospel. He wants to get baptized, but wants to learn all he can first.
The branch president's wife's niece (wait is she his niece too then? Who of yall knows how family trees work?) And her two sons just moved here from Columbia and are living with them for a but as they get settled. So of course we got to come teach them. They were ready for it and asked really constructive questions! They're going to be a lot of fun to teach and get to know.
This is a big chunk but not everything, like I said this area is wild. You know it was a good week when our DL exchange barely makes the email. Elders Baird and Williams are awesome missionaries and great friends, and I got to serve in Fuenlabrada for a while which was cool.
Spiritual thought-
Been thinking a lot lately about trusting in God's plan for us. He has a much better perspective than us on everything, so even when we don't understand the reasons for the answers we receive or the circumstances of our lives, we can know that His ideas and plans for us are better. If we set aside what we think and what we want, He can do so much more than we could ever do alone.
Keep being awesome,
Elder Curtis

1. Dinner. Don't judge it was delicious
2. Come at me bro
3. Pan del Horno in a Fuenlabrada Columbian restaurant. There were empanadas too but I ate them too fast.
