...Fuerteventura es lo mejor!
-Zenón Fragiel
Transfer news - no longer pulling double-island duty. We saw this coming, since 27 visa-waiters come into the mission this week. Elder Nelson is staying on Fuerteventura permanently and getting a new comp, and I'm heading to Lanzarote permanently with one of the visa waiters. It's not technically a new area since I've been serving there part time for 4 months, but it'll be weird to have all my stuff over there, since we normally live out of a small suitcase on that island. It'll be a great way to show someone what Spain has to offer. It does also mean I have to head back to Madrid to pick him up and have trainer meetings so that's going to take a huge bite out of our week.
But we'll arrive in Lanzarote in time for José's baptism! The whole ward over there will he happy to have full-time missionaries there.
I said a lot of goodbyes at church yesterday, really going to miss the Fuerteventura branch. We had one last excursion with José, the P-day specialist, today, will probably work out with Luca for the last time soon, and still need to find time to say goodbye to some people who didn't make it to sacrament meeting yesterday.
Been a bit of a slow week on Fuerteventura, just trying to hit all the highlights one last time. Island hopping was fun but it had its drawbacks, I'm excited to focus up on just one and get some new blood up in here.
My photos are a bit messed up right now so I can't attach anything, but I'll upload some new stuff to the Google Photos here:
More news and explanations and details next week! I haven't missed a week yet.
