Surprise, It's Me!

Writing from Tenerife rn, we had zone conference yesterday, zone P-day today, and are singing in stake conference tomorrow as a zone. It's been pretty cool.

This week was pretty slow, and leaving Lanzarote on Thursday definitely didn't help. But stuff is rolling on Lanzarote.

We had a lesson with José, who just got baptized, and talked about enduring to the end. His next step is going to be receiving the Aaronic Priesthood, so we talked about that for a bit too because we want to help him prep. Something we talked about was that preparing to receive the priesthood wasn't just about memorizing the sacrament prayers, but rather understanding the importance of the authority of God.

Fact of the matter is, the Aaronic Priesthood isn't just a rank in a church, or some level program for young men, but a divine commission that, while absent for a long time, has been restored to the earth by celestial messengers for the fulfillment of God's work in the last days. And really soon José will be able to take a bigger part in that.

Efigenia also found someone new for us to teach! Our first lesson with Andrea went great, she's come to church once while we were off the island, and we've invited her to read the Book of Mormon.

On Wednesday we walked into the chapel and found a leak in the roof, so we spent quite a while doing damage control on that. We had to let people in and out of the church to get it fixed but it was mostly handled by the time we left ofr Tenerife.

Zone conference was cool, we talked a lot about our finding efforts and we'll have some really cool stuff to try out back in the area.

Anyway that's about it for this week, we've been playing beach volleyball for a few hours and it's been awesome.
