Three Exchanges And One On The Way

Last P-day we met with the district in Oviedo and went to a zoo, then blitzed the area with 5 companionships and saw a ton of success. Kinda jealous of the Oviedo sisters right now because they get to teach all the cool people we found.

We had three exchanges this week, two in our area and one in A Coruña on the other side of the zone. When we stayed here to show our area to the Lugo and Ourense elders, my whole share of the appointments fell through. But that's missionary work, so we moved on and tried to find more people. Exchanges are meant to just be a day in the life and sometimes that means you street contact and knock doors. Elders Bevan and Tomlinson are cool so they were good exchanges.

The A Coruña exchange was cool, it's been a while since I had an exchange out of my area. Elder Ostler and I taught some cool lessons in parks, and helped some of the people that are being taught there to take some steps forward. That's another reason why exchanges are good, sometimes you just have to shake up your way of doing things.

Okay looking back at the week almost none of our appointments happened but we had lots of opportunities to do good. The exchanges were an opportunity to grow with the other missionaries, and even if people didn't accept we never stopped inviting people to come unto Christ. Yee-haw

Stuff's complicated with a lot of our friends right now, they'll make great stories when things settle down. (conversion stories for them hopefully, mission stories for us if nothing else) This makes the whole week sound really gloomy now that I write it down but I guess it goes to show that if you keep your head up and focused on the future and your faith in God you can get through anything. People make their own choices and all you can and should do is invite them to choose God.

One more exchange to go, we're on a bus to Vigo right now and then we'll get to say in our area for the rest of the transfer. But we also get transfer news on Saturday so we'll see what happens.
