Grateful For The Flow

Happy Thanksgiving!

Lots has been going on since I wrote last P-day, and I still feel like I haven't stopped moving. I love when being a missionary keeps you on your toes.

From the top:

Spent a few more days in Carabanchel. The trio was probably one of the funniest companionships I've ever been in. And the entire district are definitely my great friends now. On a wild note, two hermanas in that district came to the mission with me and headed home this week. Time on the mission is insane.

We had some cool moments and lessons before the trio ended and then I got Elder Nebeker from the north. He's been on the mission about the same time I have and we're ready for a fire transfer! He also speaks Spanish with a Spaniard/Argentina accent as opposed to my Latino/Dominican/Canario so we can reach a wide audience. We've had some great lessons so far!

We've only had a few days in the area but they've gone pretty well. I picked him up on Friday night, we had some lessons and I showed off the area on Saturday, and then Sunday was legendary.

10 people showed up, even if not all at once or on time. We're starting to not fit in the little rented space where we hold church. On top of it all, we had the Primary program! And afterwards we stayed after and taught a family who visited about the Restoration with the help.of somw members. I love this ward.

Didn't drop a weekly on Monday since we didn't have P-day, but Monday night and Tuesday we were in the mission central for MLC. That was a great meeting and we planned some cool stuff for the mission. Wednesday we had a ton of important lessons fall through but we did our best to stay productive.

And today was Thanksgiving! We got both Madrid zones together, played some *real* football, and the senior couples prepped an authentic American Thanksgiving dinner. It's been a great day with my fellow missionaries reflecting on how great my life is.

I'm thankful for my friends and companions in this work.
I'm thankful for this work to share the message of the Restoration of the gospel.
I'm thankful for that Restoration through the prophet Joseph Smith.
I'm thankful for Joseph Smith, through whom God revealed Book of Mormon.
I'm thankful for the Book of Mormon and its powerful witness of Jesus Christ.
I'm thankful for Jesus Christ, the Savior and Redeemer of the world, and the opportunity He gives us to be clean from our mistakes and return to live with our Father in Heaven forever!
I'm thankful for my family, with whom I hope to live in that forever.

Isn't it cool how the things we're blessed with are all connected? It's almost like there's Someone connecting good things and putting them in our lives. When we say "I'm thankful", we're saying "Thank you" to Him.

Thankful for you guys!
