And It Came To Pass...

I'm going to describe this week in scriptures...

Genesis 5:3:
"And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth"
We got transfer news, and I'm staying here in Santander to train again! Training Elder Madsen here was amazing, and this area we started from scratch has really come into its own! We'll be driving down to Madrid on Tuesday for Elder Madsen's ID card appointment, and on Saturday night I'll drive back up with my new comp. I'll probably train him for these last two transfers of my mission, so it would be accurate to call this new guy "the son of my old age" (Genesis 21:2)

The rest of the week was pretty good, I actually got pretty sick and took a whole day to stay inside with some stomach pain. With some help from the mission doctor I'm on my way to full recovery. Two scriptures come to mind to describe my experience this week:

Moses 1:9
"And the presence of God withdrew from Moses, that his glory was not upon Moses; and Moses was left unto himself. And as he was left unto himself, he fell unto the earth"

In nearly every lesson we've had this week, I've experienced what I call "the Sinai Moment". When I've been sick on the mission but go to a lesson anyway, somehow I just kind of stop being sick during the lesson. Then afterwards, something that's probably some kind of spiritual gift steps back a bit and it all comes flooding back. Sometimes that includes a Moses-like falling to the earth.

James 5:14-15
"Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him."

This one's not so deep. Got a blessing from my quadmates and the next day felt easily 60% better. The authority to administer in the name of God is back on the earth!

2 Nephi 5:27
"And it came to pass that we lived after the manner of happiness."

It's been a great transfer, and this next one will be awesome too!

Out of time today, next week I'll tell yall some more!
