We Thank Thee O God For A Prophet!

General Conference was awesome! Elder Allen and I worked like crazy trying to get the word out. We got a good number of our people to watch the sessions, with a couple of what Capitan Moroni would call "stratagems":

We tried to help people feel comfortable coming to the Saturday morning session (at 6pm, time change lol) by holding an activity with food and games right beforehand at the church. Everyone who came watched the entire first session and had a great experience! We finally got our friend Gloria and her son Esneyder to come to the church building and meet some members too! She later watched part of the last session from home!

Right before the last session, when we knew that President Nelson was going to speak, I uploaded a vlog/YouTube-style announcement to our WhatsApp story of just me inviting everyone to hear from a prophet of God. It's a small thing but a few people we hadn't invited yet tuned in for the last session! I think we lost a lot of people before the prophet spoke since it was two hours long but we got the word out! I've got a lot of people to follow up with, and a point to drive home:

We shared with a ton of people this week what it really means to listen to a prophet's voice. If we were living in Moses' day and he stood up outside the tabernacle to speak, I hope people would go out to listen. Most of the people we talked to this week think they would. But when we tell them that there's a prophet today who they can listen to from the comfort of their home on YouTube, it's like pulling teeth to get them to do it. But it's important to pay attention to what President Nelson has to say. And he's either a prophet or he isn't. There's no room for him to be simply a kind old preacher. And we're here to tell the world that he's the prophet of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that he's told us all to focus on making covenants with God in the House of the Lord.

Seriously this conference was amazing, I can't wait to go back and study it and share some of the talks with our friends!

Slice of Life
-One of my lit quadmates made wingsssssss
-Elder Garces (an Italian guy from our zone) and I started a missionary Bible study group. We've been having a lot of fun with it
-A guy we were talking to this week started thumbing to the back of his Bible and we were able to call out and refute Revelation 22:18 before he could even read the reference. Personal study works! The Book of Mormon is true

Wack email, not gonna lie, but have a blessed week!
